Presidents Letter
“”Small acts of kindness can go a long way.
Just a simple smile or a good deed might make all the difference in someone else’s day. With all the troubling events in the world it might seem that small acts of service wouldn’t help. If we are all helping each other, even is small ways, we would make the community more positive. So don’t forget to hold the door open, be a little more patient, and simple smile might just make this a better place.”
– Dr. Kent Pollock

Wine and Food Festival Proceeds
Encinitas Rotary Club Distributes $96,000 to Beneficiaries from the 2023 Wine & Food
Festival Proceeds
Encinitas, CA — August 23, 2023
The Encinitas Rotary Club proudly announced the allocation of $96,000 to 14 beneficiaries
during a recent club meeting. These funds were generated from the successful 2023 EncinitasWine & Food Festival, a standout event held in June at the picturesque Encinitas Ranch Golf Course. The Encinitas Wine & Food Festival brought together food enthusiasts, wine connoisseurs, and members of the community for a memorable evening of gastronomic delights and charitable giving. This years festival surpassed expectations, raising a substantial sum that is now being channeled back into the community through carefully selected beneficiaries. Each of the 14 beneficiaries received a share of the funds equivalent to the amount they raised. This unique approach ensures that the impact of the festival is distributed in direct proportion to the efforts of each participating organization.
The Wine & Food Festival plays a pivotal role in providing local non-profit organizations with a platform to secure vital funds for their distinct missions. Many of these charitable entities, particularly the smaller ones, face challenges in organizing fundraising events due to the financial constraints of mounting expenses. Supervisor Tera Lawson Remer from District 3 deserves special recognition for her instrumental role in supporting the festival’s mission. Her grant has significantly contributed to covering some of the expenses associated with organizing this large-scale event, thereby enabling a broader reach and impact. The Encinitas Rotary Club expresses deep appreciation to all event attendees, sponsors, partners, and volunteers who made the 2023 Wine & Food Festival a grand success. Their commitment to community betterment and their enthusiastic participation are instrumental in driving positive change.
